I had just finished this painting when I saw the Call for Entry and knew this would be a perfect fit. The theme of the show is Quarantine Aquamarine. During dramatic times such as these with no clear end in sight to the pandemic, on and off lock downs, loss of jobs and many other hardships the ocean can be a place of comfort which is why I titled this painting The Ocean is My Solace. I find peace and comfort at the ocean and am drawn to the forest for clarity.

As a natural optimist I am confident that our beautiful nation filled with innovative people surrounded by the majesty of our land and seas will be back on our feet soon. In the meantime, we can look to the ocean and forests for comfort and peace.

I offer Commissioned Watercolor Paintings so please let me know if I can paint something for you. I would love the opportunity!
